Here are some tasting notes from some of this month’s lovely selection of wines for Aimee’s Wine Club members:
Pale salmon pink. Intense aromas of red fruits like strawberries and citrus fruits such as grapefruit. Friendly and sweet at the beginning. Its excellent acidity makes it very refreshing. Perfumed aftertaste of raspberries and white flowers.
Pale, bright yellow. Nose crammed with asparagus, tinned peas and mown grass. Hint of khakibos . Dramatic entry with lively, fresh, fruit. IWSC 2016 – Silver Outstanding
Light, fresh and fruity with bright cherry flavours and sweet spice. A delicious Pinot Noir – soft-textured and smooth-drinking.
This 100% tempranillo organic Rioja has cherry and raspberry aromas with a hint of spice. It’s perfect with pork, roast chicken or cured meats. 13.5% ABV
Commended Decanter World Wine Awards 2016
Prima Alta Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie:
Offers exceptional quality for the price. It is a modern, clean Pinot Grigio with a pale straw colour and gently scented nose with acacia and white blossom flowers. The palate is dry with restrained peach and citrus fruit.
