Pours light hazy pale, Lots of citrus, grapefruit and grassy pine notes. A decent session pale ale.

New release from Molson Coors. Crisp clean refreshing with a short bitter finish. Gaining popularity might even out sell Peroni?

Duvel Belgium – 8.5%

Clean and balanced, clear yellow golden colour. Pear, citrus and barley notes. With some slightly more subtle of yeasty spice, earthy hop, white pepper and cracker.

Bath Ales Landsdown 5%-

Quite a foamy head. Very toffee caramel notes dominate. Smooth bitter finish quite grain driven, with a simple citrus edge.

Wiper and True BRIGHTER LIGHTS – 5%

A soft, fruity Pale Ale hopped generously with Bru 1 and Chinook. Bru 1 paints broad strokes of pineapple fruitiness with a hint of subtle spicing, whilst Chinook layers on top notes of bright, clean grapefruit.

New Bristol Brewery SUMMACRUSH -4%

A delicious, juicy, hazy session IPA using only Galaxy hops. Notes of citrus, passionfruit, peach and pineapple aromatics. Very more’ish – you’ll be wanting to crush it all summer!

West Coast IPA. Using the powerhouse hops Citra and Ekuanot, Titanium is an intensely tropical brew kicking out monster hits of mango and passion fruit.

Samuel Smiths Organic chocolate stout – 5%

smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish – this is the perfect marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

Hacker Pschorr munchner gold – 5.5%

Gold colour, Smell is sweet hops, full lager scent. Lots of bubbly carbonation. A tasteful helles lager here. Has the toasty and earthy German Munich malt that I also get in Hofbrau beers.

Backwell’s own gin – Somerset distillery

We were aiming for extra dimensions to clearly set our small batch, craft gin apart from others.

Rather than rely on our choice of botanicals for the flavours, we made a determined effort to utilise the essence found with certain alcohols that are produced during distillation.

The result, as you will find, is a clean, juniper led London dry gin, that is balanced throughout the slurp yet lingers smoothly with a slight aniseed, angelica and modest citrus finish.

Understanding how each botanical and herb reacts during the distilling process is key. We source our botanicals from the best and will utilise the ‘native fruits’ of Somerset wherever possible and practical.

Cherry red colour with a fruit filled nose and smokey nuances. Integrated toasty oak with the great Syrah flavours. Soft chamois leather tannins.

Food Matching –

Enjoy with red meat and game, Iberico ham, and light pasta dishes.

Tasting Note SAUVIGNON BLANC

Racy passion fruit, tangerine and gooseberry flavours are graceful and elegant, with a lovely, alive mouth feel and a medium body. A zingy acidity adds to the elegance, and the flavours echo on the finish.

Light, low tannin fruity red great with any kind of meal.

Savoie from the French alps. Produces very different wines high altitude, terroir is continental climate – with Mediterranean and alp influences, and a variety of soils… We dont currently stock any but will keep an eye out.
